igus® plain bearings were the little helpers in the construction of this innovative fitness equipment. The Body-Spider® of KOOPERA GmbH is a multifunctional equipment on which up to 18 persons can work out at the same time. Various types of exercises which work out the entire body for muscle building and coordination are possible on this equipment.
When the equipment is not in use, all the components can be folded and the Body-Spider® has a diameter of only a space-saving 80 cm. This design was implemented with over 100 plastic plain bearings and was awarded the silver manus®. An important criterion for the construction was the GS test which the equipment successfully passed. The fitness equipment has already withstood special requirements such as over 100,000 load alternations. The maintenance-free feature of the iglidur® polymer bearing has endowed such efficiency to the parts that according to the manufacturer, "not even one defect has occurred" in the 220 already sold Body-Spider® pieces so far.
