Steel bushings in hydraulic cylinders had to be regularly replaced after 500 hours despite intensive maintenance (lubrication). Plain bearings made of iglidur® G have been in use since 2001 without lubrication and without any significant proof of wear in the very harsh ambient conditions of construction machinery.
