For new designs, we recommend the improved e-chain® Series E4.28 from the E4.1 family.
For questions, please refer to your igus® contact person. Thank you for your understanding to the E4.28 series
* The required clearance height is HF = H + 40 mm (at 1 kg/m fill weight), which should be observed in all types of applications. Please contact us if you have particularly confined space requirements.
** The calculated length corresponds to the chain length without mounting brackets.
A=moving end, B=fixed endPitch: 46mm per linkChain links per m: 22Travel: SChain length = S/2 + K

From 10 m to max. 200 mChain length = S/2+K2Long travel - gliding (up to max. 200 m) Here the e-chain® is used with the upper run gliding on the lower run. We recommend letting our engineers support you when planning this type of system. In case of travel lengths between 4.0m and 10m, we recommend a larger unsupported e-chain®. Other installation types
Option 1: Separators and spacers
Option 2: Shelves
Standard 01 As standard, igus® separators are mounted every second chain link! Standard separator 2201 for e-chains® is used for vertical separation. It can be used additionally for simple vertical/horizontal divisions by its slots Spacer 205.09 separator (e.g. "side-mounted" application) can be fixed in position by spacers 205.09 for e-chains ®. The available inner height is reduced by 2mm for each spacer. To prevent this, parts can also be installed from the outside onto the opening crossbar (not for long travels) Side plate 2203 Side plate 2203 and full-width shelf 220.X - this option is recommended if many small cables are used with similar diameters. This solution is based on the separator 2201 (7603 for e-tube R760) through which the continuous shelves can be inserted. The 2203 side plate is used for a shelf with e-chain® series 220 when on its side. This solution is not possible for e-tubes
Option 2: Shelves As standard, igus® separators are installed at every 2nd chain link! Side plates 2204, middle plates 2202 and shelves 2200.X allow flexible partitioning. Shelves of various widths can be arranged in steps of 5mm on 3 levels Side plate 6002 same as middle plates. Allows modular shelving right up to the side links. No clearance required! Shelves 2200.X For horizontal separation. Shelves of various widths can be arranged on 3 levels

"Super-aluminium" trough - the igus® standard for guide troughs
The "Super-aluminium" trough is a modular system of guide troughs for long travels (where e-chains® glide on each other). The basic "Super-aluminium" trough is available in simple, cost-effective "basic designs" and can be expanded for sophisticated plant construction. This universal usability makes it the recommended igus® standard for guide troughs.
