At igus® UK, we are dedicated to growth and evolution as an organization. We are always looking to hire individuals with a passion for engineering, digital work, customer relations, and problem-solving.
In return, we offer a range of benefits and a proven track record of promoting from within. Join our team and be a part of a company that values innovation, collaboration, and personal development.

Our apprenticeships are varied and there is something here for everyone, from AAT, Business Administration, CIPD, Customer Service to Engineering apprenticeships.
Once apprentices have completed their courses, they can move onto the igus Graduate Program or may have the opportunity to become an igus employee. The Apprentice Program is to level 3 (or A level) and the Graduate Program is to degree level. These two programs have different support systems and benefits attached to them.
"I joined igus 3 years straight after finishing my A levels as a Finance Apprentice. Since then I have completed level 2 and 3 in AAT, now I am working towards my level 4 AAT qualification. Last year I was nominated for the national AAT award for apprentice of the year, which was a huge accomplishment. In addition to this, igus supported me in my role as an East Midlands Apprentice Ambassador. Within this role I visited different schools to talk about igus and the varied routes you can take as an apprentice. In the future I look forward to becoming a chartered accountant and prospering at igus." - Joe
In addition to this, we support the wider business in their development and encourage furthering their skillset. There are a range of courses team members have carried out or a training for, alongside their day to day job. Some of these qualifications include English language, Master of Business Administration MBA, Accounting and Human Resources.
“I started working at igus after taking a career break with motherhood. I soon moved department as my transferable skill base from Retail Management was recognised, so within a year I was supporting igus with all the recruitment requirements. Over time, this role became more people-orientated and I naturally progressed into running the HR department (i-People). igus supported me and recommended that I go through the official CIPD route. Over a 3-year period I completed levels 3 and 5, which were sponsored through igus. These qualifications have supported my knowledge and confidence within the HR field.” – Leila

Northants Engineering Training Programme
The Northants Engineering Training Partnership (NETP) is a partnership of engineering companies in the Northants region that have linked-up with the University of Northampton and we are lucky enough to be one of those companies. The partnership exists to create a pool of industry ready engineers of the highest calibre http://www.netpengineering.co.uk/
“Being part of the NETP was beneficial as it enabled me to start an internship with igus UK and gain deep theoretical knowledge as well as hands-on experience in the automation and robotics industry. After graduating, I successfully gained a position as an Automation Engineer, specifying and supporting numerous clients with their automation requirements. The work environment in igus UK is warm and supportive allowing me to grow and progress as a professional. I would highly recommend aspiring engineers to join the NETP, which will help them stay competitive as well as increase their confidence and experience..” – Angelos
yes – the young engineers support from igus. The Young Engineers Support (YES) is another initiative of igus. Within the yes initiative, igus supports pupil and student projects with free samples, sponsorships, and consultations. For example, yes sponsors Formula Student Teams in Germany and worldwide with its lightweight and lubrication-free plain bearing technology.

We recognise that there are many transferable skills between ex-military personnel and igus.
As a result of this, we have a range of long-term serving employees that are ex-military, who have successful succeeded in the civilian job market through opportunities with us.
“After nearly 14 years in the Armed forces including three tours in Afghanistan, leaving the forces can be a daunting prospect. Joining igus UK was the complete opposite. igus offer 1st class training and ongoing support throughout your career. With this training I have managed to move into a product management role within igus UK. Working at igus is highly rewarding and you really are a part of the team and company.” – Alan

We succeed when our team members do; some of our benefits include:

We would not be where we are today without our strong team of workers, which is why we prioritise creating a happy and healthy environment for all to work in.
We have accomplished this by creating a health, safety and wellbeing team, led by those who have a passion for wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, charity events and improving the safety culture. Everyone at igus has the opportunity to voice their opinions and be a part of every event we run, which include various businesses and charities across Northamptonshire.
Since creating this group, we have:
SURE statement
SURE (Safety Unit and Risk Elimination) is a new business team led collaboratively, where each member takes it in turn to take the wheel. Its members are based across multiple departments from both the factory and the office, and its remit is to make our workplace and local area a more sustainable and safer environment, creating a culture that all staff will thrive in. This will be achieved by improving the health & safety, and wellbeing of our igus employees.
