Accumulated knowledge hides behind the facade of the small life-saver, which is mostly made of Lego bricks, rubber strips and adhesive. In order to reduce weight and adjust misalignments, Jonas used igubal® pillow block bearings to fit out the sensor-equipped shield of the small life-saver.
The advantages are the balancing of misalignments and low weight.

In this discipline, the robots move around on a surface the size of a ping-pong table, where they negotiate various obstacles, and must explore the unfamiliar terrain and rescue injured persons. "They follow a black line which is broken or blocked at times. Jonas programmed his robot in such a way that it knows what to do when a line appears, when the line ends, or when it suddenly goes uphill or downhill. In the course of the competition, Jonas had to steer his robot nine times through the obstacle course. A different team was allotted to him each time. "We program together, make arrangements and give each other tips," explains Jonas about the events at the RoboCup. Then it is not only the robots who must overcome the obstacles, but also their owners.
"It was not so easy with the Chinese. Most of them didn't know English. “

Despite these difficulties, Jonas achieved 478 out of 480 points together with the Chinese and became the World Champion.
