Farming robots - Small Robot Company

The Small Robots Company has developed a mobile weed killer so that the use of pesticides for weed control can be dispensed with in conventional agriculture. This works by using an electric arc to control unwanted weeds without putting unnecessary strain on the farmland.

For this project, light and robust robotics are required, which are not damaged by weather-related influences in outdoor use. Freedom from maintenance, corrosion resistance and freedom from lubricants are just a few of the required specifications.

Multiple 3-axis delta robots mounted on a mobile scaffold and equipped with electrode units. The aim is to burn away the weeds using an electric arc. The advantage here lies in the autonomy of the system.
