Lubrication-free components for construction machinery vehicles

Moving cables in construction and transport commercial vehicles must be robust and well protected in order to withstand mechanical loads and environmental influences. In some cases, large cable packages need to be routed safely, e.g. in telescopic trailers and extendable low-loaders for heavy transport. Our energy chains made of corrosion-resistant high-performance plastic do this job - ideally in combination with chainflex® cables, which have been specially developed for moving applications.

Our heavy-duty plain bearings are ideal for bearing points that are subject to particularly high loads, for example in the tipping hydraulics of dump trucks. The combination of high-strength fibre composite material and embedded solid lubricants makes them extremely robust, insensitive to dirt and 100 percent maintenance-free.

Common challenges in construction machinery

Construction machinery operates in environments where components are exposed to dirt, mud, moisture and heavy loads constantly. Conventional metal bearings are renowned for suffering due to corrosion and wear, grease and oil can also accelerates wear as dust and dirt become attached. This is prominent particularly in hydraulic pivots and other high-load applications.

Issues such as this can lead to increased maintenance costs and unplanned downtime. These can all impact productivity and operating costs.
