Boka-Automatisierung trade show was faced with the challenge of developing a particularly favourable solution for the gripper of a robot, as well as the required format adjustment for different load-bearing sizes.

A particular requirement was the optimisation of the robot movement through a massive lightweight construction. At the same time, the gripper arm needed the necessary force to set the large plates in motion and lift them.

The igus® gearbox solution Apiro® was the solution to the problem.
