Copper surcharge

The Schutzvereinigung DEL-Notiz e.V. DEL quotation
used in the past as a basis for calculating the copper surcharge is no longer available as of 14/2/2022.
 
A new basis for calculating the copper surcharge has therefore become necessary:
 
- LME¹ (London Metal Exchange) price in US dollars/ton
- US dollar/euro exchange rate fixed by the ECB
- Plus process surcharge
 
The copper surcharge is used to calculate the difference between the calculated price (copper basis)
and the actual exchange-listed price of the copper portion of a cable.
The catalogue price of each chainflex® cable is calculated based on a copper price of €150/100kg.


Note:
You can calculate the surcharge for each igus chainflex® cable for each day down to the metre.
