9th competition for exciting plastic plain bearing applications

Search for creative applications

For the ninth time, we are looking for industrial applications of plastic plain bearings that stand out for their technical and economic efficiency, their creativity and the boldness on the part of the developer. The aim is to highlight the technical superiority of plastic machine components: where has an unimposing plastic bearing resolved a long-standing problem or where has an application only been made possible or been improved through the use of a plastic plain bearing?
The deadline is 22 February 2019 and the awards ceremony will take place at the Hannover Messe (1–5 April 2019).

This gripper arm from OCEAN INNOVATION SYSTEM from France that can dive to a depth of 500 metres for deployment under water. The system is equipped with more than 30 iglidur® X fixed flange bearings from igus®.
