This application deals with the quality control of electrical assemblies. In this case, the Benning company automatically checks chargers. It is extremely important to comply with high quality standards so that safe operation is possible. 
Among other things, the system measures continuity resistance at specific points and documents the results in a transparent and comprehensible manner via QR codes.

 

The problem

The challenge here was to find a compact but highly flexible solution. The robot has to reach various points on the workpiece to be measured so that a comprehensive quality check can be carried out.


 

The solution

A robolink RL-DP installed overhead, including an electronic test unit. Due to the overhead installation, the robot is able to control every point on the charger due to its range and its five degrees of freedom.
