Thick walled for harsh environments

iglidur® M260 - particularly robust and wear-resistant on HR carbon steel shafts

The new iglidur® M260 was specially developed for use in harsh environments. In addition, care was taken during development to ensure that the material can be used particularly well for injection-moulded thick-walled bearings. This makes iglidur® M260 particularly suitable for applications in which thick-walled bushings are to be used or replaced that are also as robust as possible.

In practice, particularly thick-walled plastic plain bearings actually offer hardly any advantages over thin-walled ones. Nevertheless, thick-walled bearings are often required, especially when replacing metal bearings with plastic ones. Once designed in, it is often time-consuming to use other bearing dimensions.

This is why we offer iglidur® M260, a new bearing material especially for use as a thick-walled plain bearing. In addition, the new material offers excellent wear properties, especially in combination with shafts made of HR carbon steel, and is particularly robust resistant to impact loads and vibrations.
