Lightweight robots - More time for creativity

Lightweight robots or LBR robots are industrial helpers modelled on human arms. Thanks to their low weight, the robots can be transported quickly and flexibly from workplace to workplace and integrated into the ongoing work process. Lightweight robots from igus® are particularly light and cost-effective. This is due to the fact that both the gears and the connecting elements are made of high-performance polymers. The plastic enables particularly favourable production of the parts. We pass this production advantage on to our customers in the form of low prices.

Long-term monotonous work, working in a danger zone and working in unfavourable postures (e.g. overhead work, working in confined spaces) not only quickly lead to employee fatigue, they are also the cause of increasing dissatisfaction. Lightweight robots perform monotonous and ergonomically difficult tasks reliably and free up employees for more highly qualified tasks.
