Guarantee for energy chains

Why are we offering a guarantee for energy chains? Energy chains often run for more than 10 years (depending on the application, surroundings and dynamic parameters). The new guarantee service gives customers the confidence of being able to design their individual application right and always choose the most cost-effective e-chain that works reliably.
 
When does the guarantee start?The guarantee is valid for new purchases as of 15/02/2020. It commences from the delivery date of the energy chain and covers all e-chain components against failure due to wear and tear.
 
When does the guarantee end?The guarantee ends after 36 months, starting from the delivery date.
 
Is there a guarantee for the cables within the e-chain?We also offer a 36 month guarantee on chainflex cables used in e-chains. Further information
 
In which countries is the e-chain guarantee valid?The guarantee for energy chains is valid worldwide. The issuing authority is igus GmbH, no matter where you request the guarantee certificate from via the service life calculator.

What is the exact guarantee scope?For the given guarantee period, igus provides a free replacement (delivery from stock). This only applies to igus e-chain components that fail due to wear and tear.
 
What is excluded from the guarantee for energy chains?Mechanical damage and damage due to incorrect assembly are excluded.
 
Is the guarantee prolonged due to the delivery of a replacement?Shipping of replacement parts does not prolong the guarantee period.
 
When does the service life guarantee apply?The e-chain service life guarantee is valid for the indicated number of double strokes calculated on the igus online service life calculator or for a maximum of 36 months after the delivery date, whichever comes first.

The guarantee applies to all energy chains that can be selected in the service life calculator.
