Energy chains from igus® are very structurally stable and durable as they have proven their reliability in many applications under a wide variety of conditions. Around 10 billion e-chain cycles are carried out in the igus® chain and cable laboratory every year. This is why we can say exactly how long an energy chain will last in an application.

The Discovery IGS 730 X-ray machine from GE Healthcare is not connected to the floor and can therefore be moved close to the patient in any position. Four times more radial stability with the TRE.B version

Small adjustment with a big effect. By adapting the ball head in the chain link, it was possible to increase the radius stability of the B version by a factor of 4 compared to the TRE version. This of course also has a positive effect on the service life of the chain. All completely price-neutral.

Test lab of energy chain systems

energy chains are put through their paces. Both in linear movements of different lengths with travel distances of up to 240 metres and in vertical, circular or torsional movements. 53 test systems, on which up to 295 tests run in parallel, are used to test the resilience of e-chain®. This results in 4,100 tests with 10 billion cycles per year.
