Energy supply systems for catwalks

A catwalk is used to move the drill pipe to the working platform (drill floor). The pipe is then lifted into the finger platform (finger board) by the pipe handler or the top drive and stored temporarily. To push it up, small carriages run along the ramp. These are often operated with hydraulic cables that are guided in energy chains.
 
In addition, e-chains are found on various telescopic units in which sensor or motor cables have to be moved.
