xiros® aluminium support roller with non-stick coating

xiros® support roller made of aluminium with non-stick coating

No sticking of adhesive labels

Our portfolio of aluminium support rollers is growing to include a non-stick-coated version. Adhesive labels have no chance of sticking here. We are expanding the installation size 6000 with the outer diameters 30 and 38mm with a tube length of 100 to 1,000mm each. The black design is also rounded off with xirodur S180 fixed flanged ball bearings.

xiros ball bearings in coated support rollers

The company is an expert in the field of pioneering adhesive solutions such as anti-counterfeiting and anti-theft in the form of adhesive seals. The aim was to find cost-effective and maintenance-free ball bearings for use in support rollers. There the function of a deflection in the pressure roller before an intermediate drive should be performed. The pressure roller is set with a defined compressive strength on the drive roller. The combination of guide roller and intermediate drive not only serves to drive the product, but also creates tension in the material, whereby different wrap angles can be set on the intermediate drive by means of the variable position of the guide roller. The different coatings of the rollers serve to protect the material as well as to improve material handling.

In the past, metallic ball bearings were used, which could only achieve low rolling friction with appropriate lubrication. The presently used xiros plastic ball bearings from igus are by cost comparison, cheaper by half and more quickly available than the previously used ball bearings. In addition, the user benefits from the low weight, the low friction and the freedom from lubrication of the plastic ball bearings.
