Advantages of using iglidur plain bearings:
  • Resistance to water-glycol mixture
  • Silent operation
  • High sliding speed in the medium and therefore hydrodynamic lubrication
  • Mixed friction during starting/stopping possible
  • Temperatures of up to 130-150°C
  • Short-term high speed of up to 2m/s possible in unlubricated condition
  • Cost advantage compared to carbon graphite bearings
  • Overmoulding possible
