Guide cables on the jib crane to save space: find the right energy chain
How do I benefit from e-chain®, cable and sensor technology compared to trailing cables?
Slewing jib cranes are often required when the load stroke of relatively small loads on usually short travel distances does not justify the use of overhead travelling cranes. Energy chains, which can be installed quickly and require little installation space on the crane girder, are ideal for cable routing. While trailing cables on the crane girder can often hang down a long way when retracted, the e-chain® can increase safety during operation thanks to its compact design. Combined with our chainflex® cables for moving applications, energy and data can be routed reliably. We can also guarantee cable routing on the slewing crane for the trolley or the control system over travel lengths of up to 10 metres. And with additional sensors on the energy chain, optional condition monitoring of the cable routing can detect problems at an early stage and quickly warn of a failure in an emergency.
